SUMMARY:Sunday Workshop with Rachel Reeds
DESCRIPTION:Rachel Reeds has immersed herself in the Cape Breton and Scottish musical traditions and has become a familiar face at sessions\, camps\, workshops\, and house parties around New England.  Summer 2017 marked the release of her debut album\, ‘Sparkjoy’.  She loves sharing tunes. Rachel is the 2013 New England Regional Scottish Fiddle Champion.\nTwo workshops:\n2:00 – 3:00PM – Workshop (Beginner/ Intermediate)\n3:00 – 3:30 – Break / Social\n3:30 – 4:30 – Workshop (Int./ Advanced).\n\n** Covid Protocol:  Please check the home page for current requirements.\n\n\nFree to Boston Scottish Fiddle Club\, non-members pay $15 drop-in fee.  Join at the meeting if you want.\n\nMembers have access to sheet music and instructor recordings of tunes taught at the workshops.  Plus\, Members have access to the past 30 months of online Workshop recordings & sheet music via the Members-Only portion of the website.\nMemberships:  $70 Individual\, $120 Family\, $35 Youth (25 & under)\, good through August 2023.\n\nTo join the fiddle club go here.\n\nFor more info about the workshops\, go here.

DESCRIPTION:Open to the public! \nJoin us for a session at the Canadian American Club! \nMeeting downstairs in the pub from 7:30-10:00! \n** Covid Protocol:  Please check the home page for current requirements. \nThese sessions take place on the Third Wednesday of each month (September – June) \nThe Boston Scottish Fiddle Club sponsors this Scottish and Cape Breton jam session.  The energetic sessions have become quite popular and there is always room for more.  Come and play your favorite tunes with old and new friends. \nRegular Session Leaders:  Katie McNally and Neil Pearlman \nEveryone is welcome – All acoustic instruments\, ages\, visitors\, listeners\, friends\, etc. \nThese sessions are geared towards intermediate/advanced players but anyone is welcome to come and play.  Also\, when someone starts a tune it will be played at the speed it is started\, which can be slow. \nCash bar \n$5 minimum donation requested. \nLIST OF POPULAR TUNES played at these sessions here. \nData on which tunes were played each month or frequency of tunes over time:  Lance Ramshaw’s site. \nQuestions?  Send us an email.
