SUMMARY:Monthly Meeting with Natalie Haas
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Leader:  Natalie Haas \nFree for Members\, $15 Non-Members \nThe Sunday Schedule: \n2:00 Beginner/Intermediate workshop (learn tunes at a slower pace) \n3:15 – 3:45 snacks / social (bring something to share if you would like) \n3:45 Intermediate/Advanced workshop (fast-paced and more advanced) \n4:45-6:00 performance/session \n—————————————————— \nOur workshops are led by some of the top musicians and teachers in the field of Scottish and Cape Breton music\, known for their outstanding teaching capability or virtuosity or both.  See their bios here. \nThe first workshop\, beginning at 2:00pm\, is geared toward players who prefer to learn tunes at a slower pace. Expect to learn a tune or two.  At 3:15 there is a half hour social time with snacks\, which is a good time for everyone to catch up with friends and meet new ones. \nThe second workshop\, beginning at 3:45\, is taught at a significantly faster pace and will involve more advanced concepts such as bowing techniques\, grace notes\, etc.  Everyone is welcome to attend both workshops\, however the second workshop will keep pace with the more advanced players.  We hope this format will encourage more people with a broader range of ability levels to participate in our workshops. \nWe end the day with a short performance by the instructor (optional) and a jam session.
