There are many ways to participate in the club and benefit from the
many things that we have to offer. We have three levels of membership,
depending on whether you're a performer or just an interested party. You
can find the level of support that is right for you.
The benefits of membership include participation in monthly
meetings, sessions and performances, and our monthly newsletter,
discounts on music books and recordings, and our excellent tune books.
The tune books produced annually by the Fiddle Club represent a
unique collection of both new and old tunes gathered from many sources, often
with historical notes, and chords. The tunes come from Scotland,
Cape Breton and the Shetlands including traditional tunes and tunes by past
masters such as Neil Gow, William Marshall and J. Scott Skinner, and newer
authors such as Jerry Holland and Brenda Stubbert, to name a few. We
learn and play these throughout the year and then they become "fodder" for
sessions in following years. Our session book contains the tunes we often
play in our regular get togethers.
